Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Md. Sumun Mia, an individual based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, trading as PDFVelvet ("PDFVelvet", "we"), for the use of pdfvelvet.com and the PDFVelvet apps. Paid plans are sold by our merchant of record, Paddle (see section 5).

1. The service. PDFVelvet provides online tools to convert, edit, organize, sign and protect documents. Some tools work without an account within a daily free limit; others need a free or paid account. We may change or discontinue features.
2. Your content. You keep all rights to the files you upload. You give us only the permission needed to process them for the tool you choose and, for files you save to Documents, to store them until you delete them. You must have the right to process the files you upload.
3. Acceptable use. No illegal content, malware, infringement of others' rights, attempts to break or overload the service, automated scraping or bulk use beyond the API you are given, or circumventing limits. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
4. Accounts. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in your profile.
5. Plans and payment. Paid plans are sold through our reseller and merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Ltd, which handles checkout, billing, applicable taxes and payment support. Prices and what each plan includes are shown at checkout and on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy at pdfvelvet.com/en/legal/refunds.
6. E-signatures. For documents sent for signature we record the signer's name and email as provided, the signing events (time, IP address, browser) and the signed document as evidence. Whether an electronic signature is legally valid depends on the jurisdiction and the type of document; you are responsible for confirming it is appropriate for your use.
7. AI features. AI output can be wrong; check important results. AI tools send the document to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. No warranty. The service is provided "as is" and "as available"; to the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. Always keep copies of important files.
9. Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing affects statutory rights you have as a consumer.

11. Changes. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the website or by email before they take effect.
12. Law and disputes. These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep any right your local law gives you to bring or defend a claim in your country of residence. Purchases are additionally governed by Paddle's buyer terms.
